Terminology and Interface Concepts

A reference guide to the terms and structural concepts used throughout the Tavqeroli platform and its documentation.

Understanding the language used by the Tavqeroli system makes it easier to navigate the interface and to frame access requests clearly. The following definitions describe how specific terms are used within the platform context. These definitions apply to the Tavqeroli service specifically and may not align with their use in other technical contexts.

Core Concepts in the Classification System

Index

The complete collection of content items that have been processed by the Tavqeroli classification system. The index is organised hierarchically and is the foundation on which the review interface is built. Not all content in the index is visible to all users; visibility depends on the access scope granted to a particular user.

Category

A named grouping within the index that contains items sharing a common subject, format, or contextual relationship. Categories are defined by the Tavqeroli team and may be nested to reflect a hierarchy of specificity. A primary category contains one or more subcategories, each of which may contain further subdivisions.

Item

A single unit of content within the index. An item may be a document, a data record, a reference entry, or another discrete piece of information. Each item carries contextual labels assigned during classification and belongs to at least one primary category. An item may also appear in one or more secondary groupings.

Contextual Label

A tag applied to an item during the classification process that indicates its type, subject area, relationship to other items, or other relevant attributes. Contextual labels are used by the interface to support filtering and comparison, and are visible to users who have access to the section in which the item appears.

Section

A view within the review interface that presents the items belonging to a particular category or subcategory. Sections are navigable and display items according to the system's automated arrangement logic. Users with access to a section can browse its contents, apply filters, and reference individual items.

Arrangement

The order in which items are presented within a section. Arrangement is determined automatically by the system and considers factors such as recency, subject proximity, and access frequency. The arrangement of items within a section may change over time as the index evolves.

Terms Used in the Enquiry and Access Process

Enquiry

A message submitted to the Tavqeroli team through the contact form. An enquiry may ask a question about the platform, request access to one or more sections of the index, or report a concern about the service. All enquiries are reviewed by a team member before a response is sent.

Access Request

A specific type of enquiry in which a user asks to be granted access to sections of the Tavqeroli interface. An access request should describe the purpose for which access is sought and the category or categories of content the user wishes to review.

Access Scope

The set of sections and categories that a user is permitted to view within the Tavqeroli interface. Access scope is defined when an access request is approved and may be expanded or restricted over time based on the user's ongoing engagement with the platform.

Referencing

The act of marking an item within the interface for later retrieval. Referenced items are stored in a personal collection that persists between sessions and is not affected by changes to the system's automated arrangement. Referencing does not affect the item's position in the index or its availability to other users.

Support Request

A message submitted to the Tavqeroli team to report an issue with the interface, a suspected misclassification, or a concern about the content in a particular section. Support requests can be submitted through the enquiry form on this website.

Holding State

A temporary status assigned to an item that the classification system could not place with confidence. Items in a holding state are not visible in the main interface until a team member has reviewed them and assigned a definitive classification. The holding state is an internal operational concept and is not directly visible to users.

How to Apply These Definitions

When Submitting an Enquiry

Using the correct terminology when describing your access request helps the Tavqeroli team understand your needs more quickly. Rather than referring to "the website" or "the database", describing the specific category or section you are interested in reviewing, and the type of content you expect to find there, allows the team to evaluate your request more efficiently.

When Navigating the Interface

The labels used in the Tavqeroli interface correspond to the terms defined on this page. If you encounter a term in the interface that is not explained here, or if a definition here does not match what you observe in the system, please submit a support request through the enquiry form so the team can clarify or update the documentation.
